How do I set up the POWER HIFI?
The entire system weighs 60 kg.
– Therefore, ensure the surface you intend to place it on can support this weight.
– Carry/transport only the individual components – never the entire stacked system.
Before turning it on, make sure the MASTER/COMPANION switch is set to the desired position
– Route all cables so they do not create tripping hazards.
Connecting the speakers
The speaker connections from the control unit to the midrange and the woofer speakers are each designed as 4-pin SpeakON connectors.
Mixing up the cables is prevented by their different cable lengths. The final setup looks like this:
Plugging in:
- Hold the plug with the cable facing upwards in front of the socket.
- Turn the plug about 45° to the left until its pins fit into the socket.
- Push the plug fully into the socket.
- Turn the plug about 45° to the right until the lock clicks into place. The cable now points upwards.
Unplugging:
- Pull the chrome latch backward and turn the plug about 45° to the left.
- Pull the plug out of the socket
POWER HIFI STEREO operation - How do I connect multiple devices together?
You can set up two POWER HIFI devices in a stereo setup. The MASTER plays the right channel and the COMPANION plays the left channel. This is suitable if you can position both in a stereo triangle. Alternatively, you can set up the POWER HIFI devices in a mono cascade. The Master sends the mixed stereo signal via the XLR cable to the Companion(s).
Example of a stereo setup
Required accessories: Cordial XLR cable
Connection: The LINE OUT output of the Master is connected via XLR cable to the LINE IN L input of the Companion
.
Switch position on the MASTER: Slide the MASTER/COMPANION switch to MASTER and the CH MODE switch to R (right channel). The Master now sends the left channel to the Companion via the XLR cable.
Switch position on the COMPANION: Slide the MASTER/COMPANION switch to LINE. The position of the CH MODE switch is ignored.
Operation: All inputs can be used on the Master; operation is via the control panel or the Master's remote control.
Volume settings: After initially setting the volume on the Companion, volume and sound are controlled on the Master.
Example of a stereo setup with a mixing console
Required accessories for this setup: two Cordial XLR cables, mixing console
Connection: The mixing console is connected via XLR cables to the LINE IN L inputs of both POWER HIFI devices.
Switch position on the MASTER: Slide the MASTER/COMPANION switch to LINE. The position of the CH MODE switch is ignored.
Switch position on the COMPANION: Slide the MASTER/COMPANION switch to LINE. The position of the CH MODE switch is ignored.
Control: control using the mixing console
Volume settings: After initially setting the volume on the Companions, volume and sound are controlled on the mixing console.
Example of a stereo setup with a preamplifier
Required accessories for this setup: two RCA cables, preamplifier, CD player
Connection: The preamplifier is connected via RCA cables to the AUX IN L inputs of both POWER HIFI devices.
Switch position on the MASTER: Slide the MASTER/COMPANION switch to AUX. The position of the CH MODE switch is ignored.
Switch position on the COMPANION: Slide the MASTER/COMPANION switch to LINE. The position of the CH MODE switch is ignored.
Control: control using the preamplifier
Volume settings: After initially setting the volume on the Companions, volume and sound are controlled by the preamplifier.

Can I connect more than two POWER HIFI devices together?
Example of a mono cascade
Required accessories for this setup: multiple Cordial XLR cables
Connection: The LINE OUT output of the Master is connected via XLR cable to the LINE IN L input of the first Companion. Its LINE OUT output is connected to the LINE IN L input of the next Companion and so on. Up to four Companions can be connected in a cascade.
Switch position on the MASTER: Slide the MASTER/COMPANION switch to MASTER and the CH MODE switch to MONO. The Master sends the mixed stereo signal via the XLR cable to the first Companion. The position of these switches is ignored on all Companions.
Switch position on the COMPANION: Slide the MASTER/COMPANION switch on each to LINE. The position of the CH MODE switch is ignored.
Operation: All inputs can be used on the Master; operation is via the control panel or the Master's remote control.
Volume settings: After initially setting the volume on the Companions, volume and sound are controlled by the preamplifier. However, the volume of the Companions can be reduced compared to the Master, for example, if the dance floor in the front should be louder than the rear part of the room.
In Master-Companion operation, the balance is off
Most likely, the volume on the Companion is set too low. Carefully adjust the volume knob to level 100. In Master-Companion operation, volume and sound are controlled on the Master.
Then you can adjust the volume ratio between the left and right stereo channels using the BALANCE </> buttons on the remote control. The display on the control unit shows a shift to the left as a negative value and to the right as a positive value.
This setting is lost in case of power failure or when changing the stereo channel with the CH MODE switch.
How do I establish a Bluetooth® connection to the POWER HIFI?
- Turn on the Bluetooth® function on your playback device (e.g., smartphone).
- Select the "Bluetooth" input on the POWER HIFI. To do this, press the Bluetooth® button (32) on the remote control or press the SOURCE button (16) on the control unit multiple times until the LED
(14) lights up blue. - If the POWER HIFI is not connected to any playback device, pairing starts automatically and the LED (14) blinks rapidly in blue. Otherwise, press and hold button (32) for about 2 seconds or briefly press the PAIRING button (15) to start pairing.
- Allow your playback device to search for Bluetooth® devices.
- Select "POWER HIFI" from the list of found devices. Once paired, your POWER HIFI acts as a Bluetooth® playback device and plays all sounds that would otherwise be played by your playback device.
How can I clear the Bluetooth® list?
To clear the list of playback devices, press and hold the Bluetooth® button (32) on the remote control for about 10 seconds. Then playback devices can only connect again after re-pairing.
How do I customize the automatic on and off?
With the AUTO POWER switch (23) you can activate the automatic on and off:
OFF – automation inactive
ON – automation active
• If the POWER HIFI receives no audio signal for more than 20 minutes and no actions are taken, it automatically switches to standby.
• As soon as a signal is detected on an audio source, the POWER HIFI wakes up and switches to the detected audio source.
With the AUTO ON SENSITIVITY control (28) you adjust the sensitivity at which the automatic power-on should detect an audio signal:
• LOW: Sensitivity is set low, so an input signal is only recognized at a high input level and the POWER HIFI wakes up.
• HIGH: Sensitivity is set high, so an input signal is recognized even at a low input level and the POWER HIFI wakes up.
My remote control doesn't work - what can I do?
If the remote control apparently does not work and only the LED on the Companion blinks briefly, the switch (21) must be set to Master.
If the remote control really does not work, you can find further help here.
My POWER HIFI shows the error "E1" - what can I do?
E1 stands for Error 1 and indicates a heat problem in the amplifier. First, check the volume and try changing the location. If the error persists, please contact us.
