Why are devil Home series devices not compatible with devil Raumfeld devices?

The devil Home series represents a new technological approach to wireless streaming compared to Raumfeld. In response to customer demand, we made the difficult decision to move toward a more open system compatible with a wide range of external services such as Apple AirPlay, Google Chromecast, and even Bluetooth. As a result, new devil Raumfeld devices and other devil Home speakers, such as the STEREO M 2, will no longer be made compatible with the old app.

The cause of this is that after ten years of faithful service, we reached the feasibility limit for continued upgrades. Bringing it in line with the latest technologies would mean a cost-intensive effort we could not justify, especially given changing customer demands.

However, there are ways to use both systems together at least indirectly. For example, adapters for AirPlay or Bluetooth can be connected to older devil systems with Raumfeld technology and thus integrated with new multiroom speakers.

There are also some services that are supported by both systems such as Spotify Connect, which can be used for devil Streaming devices and Raumfeld Technology devices.
