CONCEPT 8 / CONCEPT 12 subwoofer: Firmware update November 2024

Info: If the three upper white LEDs or the middle red LED on your CONCEPT 8 / 12 Subwoofer are blinking and you cannot operate the device, reinstall the update via USB on your PC.

The update includes the following:

• Fixed: Source LEDs fade to OFF when the lowest brightness is selected
• Fixed: Device switches off during playback on AUX (active source)
• Fixed: Turning off Auto-On now disables Auto-Standby

Update preparation & download firmware file

To perform the firmware update, the following is required:

• Computer
• USB-C to USB-A cable or USB-C data cable
• Firmware update file: Save the update file on your computer and note the location
  
  Download firmware update for Concept 8 subwoofer
  Download firmware update for Concept 12 subwoofer

To perform the update, carry out the following steps:

1. First disconnect the CONCEPT 8 /12 subwoofer from the power supply and wait approx. 2 minutes until the product is completely discharged.
   
   Note: If the LEDs no longer light up when any buttons on the rear panel are pressed, the residual charge has disappeared.
    
2. Connect the CONCEPT 8 / 12 subwoofer to your computer using the USB cable.
3. Press and hold the reset button on the subwoofer while reconnecting the mains cable.
   
   
4. Your computer will now recognize CONCEPT 8 / 12 as a removable disk in the file explorer.
   
   
    
5. Copy the previously saved download file to the "devil" removable disk
6. A loading bar and a message window will appear. Click on "Skip" here. The update will now start automatically. When the "devil" entry disappears from the Explorer, the device has been successfully updated.
