Do the EFFEKT / EFFEKT 2 connect automatically after initial setup?
If the wireless speakers were previously connected to a compatible transmitter, a connection will be established immediately. The LED status indicator then lights up solid white.
Do I need to turn on and pair the EFFEKT / EFFEKT 2 separately every time I use them?
No. The EFFEKT / EFFEKT 2 speakers remember the connection and turn on and off automatically. The standby power consumption is under 0.5 watts.
The EFFEKT / EFFEKT 2 LED status indicator blinks slowly or quickly white. What does this mean?
The LED status indicator of the EFFEKT / EFFEKT 2 boxes can indicate the following situations:
- LED glows solid white: Wireless connection established, ready for operation.
- LED blinks slowly white: Connection was successfully established, but currently no connection to the source device is possible (e.g., if the source device is not ready or possibly too far away).
- LED blinks quickly (rapidly) white: Speakers are in pairing mode (= pairing mode).
- LED glows solid red: EFFEKT / EFFEKT 2 are in standby mode.
The menu for the surround speakers is missing in my sound system settings?
The menu for the settings of the EFFEKT / EFFEKT 2 speakers is only displayed after successful pairing. Please follow the information in the article on first connection.
The EFFEKT / EFFEKT 2 are connected, but the playback seems too quiet. What can I do?
NOTE: Do not adjust the volume using a movie you want to watch, as the playback volume can vary greatly depending on the scene. Instead, use the test tone. Additionally, an app for sound level measurement / level meter (from Play Store or App Store) can be used. Basically, we recommend setting the level of the EFFEKT / EFFEKT 2 speakers about three to four decibels lower than the front speakers or soundbar.
How should I set the audio output of my TV / streaming provider to get the best performance from the EFFEKT / EFFEKT 2?
If possible, set the audio output of the TV/streaming provider to the audio formats Dolby Digital, DTS, or PCM 5.1. Less suitable are the often preset audio formats Stereo or PCM 2.0, as the EFFEKT / EFFEKT 2 speakers either receive no signal or only a weak signal (e.g., via Dolby Pro Logic 2).
I want to listen to music via my surround system with EFFEKT / EFFEKT 2. What is the best setting for this?
For music playback on the surround system with EFFEKT / EFFEKT 2, use the "Multichannel Stereo" option via menu path > Sound > Advanced > Upmix > direct.

There are connection problems. What can I do?
If the rear LED blinks slowly white, the EFFEKT / EFFEKT 2 are still waiting for (re)connection to a known source device. Make sure the source device is also ready for operation. If this is the case, disconnect the source device from power briefly and then start the source device first and then the EFFEKT / EFFEKT 2. If this does not help, please perform the initial setup again.
