I use my headphones on the iPhone and only hear mono?

Possible cause: The iPhone is set to mono audio. This causes the left and right sides of the headphones to output the same audio signal.

Solution: Disable mono audio in the iPhone settings.

If the Mono Audio switch is set to grey, you will hear stereo, provided the signal from the source is also stereo.
