Normally, active subwoofers turn on automatically when they detect an input signal. If there is no audio signal for approx. 20 minutes, the subwoofer switches into standby mode. If this automatic function does not work or does not work reliably, you can try the following. Increase the output level of the playback device Some playback devices (sound card, DVD player, receiver) output the bass signals via the subwoofer output so quietly that the subwoofer is not triggered. Increase the level for the subwoofer channel in the speaker/bass management of your playback device. You can find information on this in the user's manual for your device. The higher this number is, the sooner the subwoofer will trigger because it receives a stronger signal. Increase the input level/sensitivity with the AUTO LEVEL control If the automatic system does not switch correctly, you can increase (turn clockwise) or decrease (turn counter-clockwise) the sensitivity using the AUTO LEVEL control. You will need a small screwdriver to adjust this.
Adjusting automatic on/off on the device On the S 6000 subwoofer, the T 8 and T 10 subwoofer there is a switch on the back next to Power.
In Auto mode, the subwoofer switches on as soon as an audio signal is present. If there is no audio signal for approx. 20 minutes, the subwoofer switches to standby mode.
In ON mode, the subwoofer is always switched on. Set the switch from "AUTO" to "ON".
