Is there an app?
To customize the settings of the MOTIV® XL, please install the devil Home app (available in the Play Store / App Store) on your smartphone.
The MOTIV® XL is "Roon ready". What does that mean?
"Roon Ready" means that the MOTIV® XL has been officially certified by the Roon music software and can be fully integrated into its system. More information about Roon
Can I add it to multiroom setups with devices from the devil Streaming / Raumfeld series?
For technical reasons, the MOTIV® XL cannot be linked to devil Streaming / Raumfeld devices. The MOTIV® XL can be linked with other AirPlay 2 or Google Cast devices.
Can I replace the battery?

How to replace the battery:
I cannot start my speaker. What are possible causes?
- Make sure that the device is either connected to power or that the internal battery is sufficiently charged.
- If previously switched off manually, press and hold the ON/OFF button for 10-12 seconds until the device starts.
- Note: When connected to power, the battery will be charged automatically.
I can't hear anything even though content is playing. What can I do?
- Check whether the volume on the device is set too low.
- Increase the volume on the playback device (e.g. smartphone).
- Make sure that the MOTIV® XL is connected correctly.
- Check whether the MOTIV® XL is set as the output device on the player.
- For Bluetooth connection: Interference from other wireless systems possible - test another location.
- [Android only] Check whether a volume limiter is active and deactivate it if necessary.
My speaker is switched on but not responding. What can I do now?
Press and hold the ON/OFF button for about 8 seconds to restart the device.
Playback stops and starts randomly or stops completely for no reason. What could be causing this?
- The speaker may be out of range of Wi-Fi signal - try a different location closer to the router.
- The Internet connection is unstable or too slow.
