How can I tell which version I have?
The design of the headband has changed. This is how the AIRY NG can be folded. Additionally, the extension mechanism has changed. The volume can be adjusted on the AIRY NG via a wheel on the headband.
Can I change the ear pads on the AIRY / AIRY NG?
The ear pads are removable and can be replaced with new ones. Unfortunately, we no longer sell replacement ear pads. To remove them, turn the ear pads counterclockwise. They can then be easily removed. To attach replacement ear pads, proceed in the reverse order.
How do I clear the Bluetooth® list?
AIRY: Hold the and
buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds.
AIRY NG: Hold the buttons for about 10 seconds.
AIRY: When using as a PC headset, the sound is different from music playback.
If you set the AIRY as "Headset" in the PC sound settings, this activates a special sound profile where the bass and midrange are reduced to increase speech intelligibility.
Tip: If you set the AIRY on your laptop/PC as "Headphones" (without microphone) and not "Headset," the sound profile will be without bass/midrange reduction.
By the way: Windows 10 has a feature that allows you to easily switch between headset and stereo mode—simply via the speaker icon in the taskbar.
How can I avoid music skipping?
If objects are between the phone and the headphones (e.g., if the phone is lying on a table and you move around the room) or your own body is between the transmitter and receiver (e.g., when carrying the phone in your pocket while wearing the headphones), music skipping and/or connection issues can occur because any object will interfere with transmission.
Tip: The Bluetooth receiver of the Airy is located on the side of the volume control. So it’s best to put the phone in your pocket on the same side.
Why does the microphone not work when I use the AIRY with a cable?
The AIRY microphone is only activated when the headphones are connected via Bluetooth because the microphone is connected to the Bluetooth interface. When using a cable, this interface is not active, and therefore the microphone is not active either.
