The clip-on microphone boom of the CAGE has a small plastic wedge on its connector that can be easily overlooked. This wedge serves to hold it securely in one of the three possible plug-in positions on the connector. When properly inserted into one of the three notches (see below), the arm can be easily slipped on.
If the microphone does not plug on easily, please perform a visual check for the correct plug-in position and carefully plug in the microphone arm without applying pressure until it is correctly connected.
Avoid forceful screwing as this may damage the plastic wedge.
