REAL BLUE/BLUE NC (2020): FAQ

Note: This article refers exclusively to the older REAL BLUE (2020) and REAL BLUE NC (2020) models.

How can I tell which version of the REAL BLUE/BLUE NC I have?

The older models REAL PURE, BLUE (2020) and REAL BLUE NC (2020) have a red fabric cover inside the earphones. The REAL BLUE/BLUC NC models (available since Nov. 2021), on the other hand, are only equipped with a black fabric cover. The latest model, the REAL BLUE NC 3 (available since January 2025), has a microphone opening below the devil logo.

Do the REAL BLUE (2020) / BLUE NC (2020) headphones have aptX?

The older models of the REAL BLUE (2020)/BLUE NC (2020) do not support aptX. The REAL BLUE/BLUE NC versions, however, have aptX and AAC support.

REAL BLUE (2020)/REAL BLUE NC (2020): Is there a button lock?

The REAL BLUE and REAL BLUE NC have an (undocumented) function - a key lock, i.e. the touchpad is locked after activation.

To activate it, briefly press the on/off button together with the Bluetooth button - the REAL BLUE NC will announce "Secure mode enabled", the REAL BLUE will emit an acoustic confirmation tone.

To deactivate, briefly press the on/off button together with the Bluetooth button again, an announcement "Secure mode disabled" or, in the case of the REAL BLUE, an acoustic confirmation tone. The on/off button and the Bluetooth button are also deactivated during the key lock.

REAL BLUE/BLUE NC (2020): The touchpad no longer responds

The REAL BLUE (2020) and REAL BLUE NC (2020) headphone models have a button lock for the touchpad. The lock may have been activated. Check the status of the button lock by deactivating/activating the function as a test.

To activate, briefly press the on/off button together with the Bluetooth button. You will hear an announcement "Secure mode enabled".

To deactivate, repeat the process. You will hear an announcement "Secure mode disabled"

Note: When the key lock is activated, the on/off button and the Bluetooth button are also deactivated in the individual functions.

REAL BLUE/REAL BLUE NC (2020): I would like to use the touch control, but I can't.

The touch control on the REAL BLUE (2020) and REAL BLUE NC (2020) is only active when the headphones are connected and operated via Bluetooth. Please activate the Bluetooth connection if necessary.
