How can I tell which generation I have?
Only the ROCKSTER CROSS 2 has a USB-C port on the back. The right rubber flap is labeled "USB-C" here.

Can I connect the ROCKSTER CROSS 2 to other devices?
With the Party Link function, you can wirelessly connect up to 100 compatible devices to play music synchronously on all devices – ideal for larger rooms or parties. The connection is made via Bluetooth, with one device acting as the main device (broadcaster).
With Party Link Stereo, you connect two identical devices into a stereo pair.

Activate Party Link function
- Connect an external player via Bluetooth® or USB to the first speaker.
- Press and hold the Party Link button (14) on the first speaker for 1.5 seconds. The Party Link LEDs (7) flash violet.
- Turn on another speaker.
- Press and hold the Party Link button (14) on the speaker not yet connected for 1.5 seconds. The Party Link LEDs (7) of the receiver flash white.
- To connect more speakers, repeat steps 3 and 4 with each new speaker.
- To deactivate the Party Link function, press and hold the Party Link button and the minus (-) button for 1.5 seconds.
Activate Party Link Stereo function
- Connect an external player via Bluetooth® or USB to the first speaker.
- Press the Party Link button (14) on the first speaker twice. The Party Link LEDs (7) flash yellow.
- Turn on the second speaker.
- Press the Party Link button (14) twice on the second speaker.
The first Party Link LED (7) on the first speaker lights up yellow. The speaker becomes channel L.
The second Party Link LED (7) on the second speaker lights up yellow. The speaker becomes channel R.
Can I connect the ROCKSTER CROSS 2 with the predecessor ROCKSTER CROSS?
No. For technical reasons, the ROCKSTER CROSS 2 cannot be connected/paired with the predecessor ROCKSTER CROSS.
How do I charge the ROCKSTER CROSS 2?
When the battery charge is running low, the speaker emits two short warning tones multiple times and the first LED of the battery status LEDs (5) blinks. In such a case, charge the speaker immediately.
To charge the battery of the ROCKSTER CROSS 2, you need a USB-C to USB-C power supply with at least 7.5 watts output power. Feel free to use the USB-C Power Adapter 30W.
You can find the USB port (see illustration 16) for charging under the dust cover on the back.
The charging time depends on the power supply used. Once all LEDs (4) are lit continuously, the battery is fully charged.

Can I use the ROCKSTER CROSS 2 with a computer?
You can connect the ROCKSTER CROSS 2 to your computer via Bluetooth and use it as a speaker, or you can use the speaker's USB-C port to activate the integrated sound card.

The ROCKSTER CROSS 2 is supported by the devil Go App. All information & downloads for the devil Go App.
What is the outdoor mode on the ROCKSTER CROSS 2?
The outdoor mode optimizes the sound for outdoor use. Certain frequencies are boosted to make speech and music clearer even in noisy environments.
Is the ROCKSTER CROSS 2 protected against water ingress?
Yes, the ROCKSTER CROSS is protected against jet water from all directions according to IPX5. It is not protected against submersion but can withstand jet water from garden hoses or similar sources.
