Activating the various party link functions
Party-Link
The speaker can be connected via Bluetooth® with up to 100 compatible speakers to form a
speaker chain, e.g. to provide sound for a larger room.
The first speaker acts as a
broadcaster when using the party link function. You can control the playback for the entire speaker chain on the broadcaster and make specific adjustments to the connected speakers (e.g. volume settings).
Note: When using Party Link mode (wirelessly connecting devices), all other sources except Bluetooth are disabled. This means music transmission via Bluetooth is possible, but you cannot play any source on LINE (analog source), INSTR (instrument, e.g., electric guitar), or MIC (microphone) on all speakers simultaneously.
If you want to hear speech via a microphone on all devices, use the connection via XLR cable (Party-Link-Wired).
To activate the Party-Link
- Connect an external audio source (e.g. smartphone) to the first speaker via Bluetooth®.
- Press and hold the button (13) on the first speaker for 1.5 seconds. The button (13) flashes purple, Party-Link LEDs (6) flash white.
- Pairing mode is activated; the speaker becomes a broadcaster in party link mode.
- Switch on another ROCKSTER NEO (receiver). The speaker must not have an active Bluetooth® connection.
- Press and hold the button (13) on the speaker that is not yet connected for 1.5 seconds.
Button (13) and Party-Link LEDs (6) on the receiver light up white. - The loudspeaker (receiver) is connected to the Broadcaster. All paired speakers play the same content.
Party-Link-Wired
Several speakers can be connected to each other in MASTER-COMPANION mode via a cable connection. One speaker is configured as MASTER and the other speakers as COMPANION.
Suitable XLR cables for connecting the speakers are available in the web store in the "Accessories" section.
